Choose the right size hoop up front

My biggest regret is I should have bought a bigger hooped machine. I have a brother 5x7. (PE800) and I like it. But so many designs show up better bigger. And any machine you buy will have an operating manual. Just breathe! Start on page one and read carefully, one page at a time and you'll be up and running almost like a pro in no time. The key is to start out slow. Don't miss any of the basics. And they are all there written out for you to follow. PLUS, you have all of us that can help you with questions too! So dive in! I started with a Brother 4x4 back in 2013. Oh did I have hoop envy! I upgraded in 2019 to a used Janome 11000 that had an 8x8 hoop and it has been a workhorse. In 2023 I had the opportunity to purchase an Elna830 which had the 8x8 hoop and a 6x10 hoop. I love it too, and sometimes I have both the Elna and the Janome running at the same time.
