7th Birthday Present

At Christmas, I learned my husband’s granddaughter liked mermaids. I’ve been wanting to stitch something for her. I picked up this Wonder Nation dress at Walmart and found the pink mermaid. Being dark haired, I look for images with dark hair when I buy things.  I’m a fan of pink,  it she likes purple. So, I changed the colors as I stitched using simthread brand thread from Amazon.  With the dark hair, I think the mermaid turned out perfectly (even though at one point I ran out of bobbin thread on my 4x4 Brother PE-150D).  I floated on medium weight WorldWeidner cut away stabilizer, reflating to add her name. I think she liked it (and it even looks like her).
