Why I love machine embroidery

When I was only six years old I got my first sewing machine. My mother was a tailor in her early work-life. My father was the embroidering one. He did large Petit Point illustrations - most of them pretty gaudy in my oppinion - but I loved to wach him work on them in his calm and steady manner. And it was fascinating to see the pictures slowly grow.

I bought my embroidery machine with the most part of my inheritance and I always think of him, whenever I use it. It was something like a last, very fitting gift of him. ♥️👨‍👧
